Blossie Basket EPP Class
June 3, 2026 11 AM-2 PM
Come relax with friends, sip a beverage from the Caledonia Cafe, and work on an English paper pieced project. English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a hand piecing technique where pieces of fabric are adhered to a piece of paper before they are hand sewn together. EPP offers quilters the ability to showcase fabrics with the use of fussy cutting to sew intricate designs. In June, we will begin working on “Blossie Basket.” “Blossie Basket” by Craftapalooza Designs is made of eight quilt-as-you-go hexagons that are pieced together into a bowl with an optional lid to store sewing essentials, threads, or treasures.
In June, we will also begin our year-long EPP project “Blue Star Hexagon” by Karen Styles. Make two star blocks each weekend and you will have a quilt in a year. Students can make the quilt scrappy or choose a theme. I will be using reproduction patriotic colors to honor America’s 250th birthday.
Skill level: beginner
A beverage from Caledonia Cafe, “Blue Star Hexagon” pattern, and diamond papers will be provided.

from 42 reviewsThis foot control for my Featherweight is fantastic! It is so comfortable to use with my foot, and gives me much better control of my sewing speed than the original foot control that came with my machine. I highly recommend this foot control!
This is an amazing tool for keeping my sewing machine in great working order. My husband actually borrowed it to clean his laptop keyboard and iPad keyboard. It is well made, good instructions and heavy duty. Thank you!
I was so pleased that Michael and crew came to Winchester!!! The service was perfect including Michael carrying my machine to the car! The royal treatment!♥️
Wonderful vacuum for sewing machine. We’ve tried many others and they just couldn’t do the jobs. The sonic performed in an outstanding fashion for both suction and blower tasks.
The thread stand is great. Came as it is pictured. Fast shipping.
Great tool at a great price from a great organization
I’ve used this to vacuum dust and lint from my sewing machine and serger. I believe it will be a handy addition to my sewing supplies.
The EPP classes are great. Rhonda is a wonderful teacher.
Praying that enough are interested so it is going to happen
I love the class. I learned a lot. I’d never made a bag like that before teacher was incredible and we had so much fun and walked away with a beautiful bag to boot.
I go to other open sew retreats and really enjoy them You can also learn from what others are creating.
I received a text message from Phyllis stating she and Mary had signed up for the "Open Sew Retreat" at Sew n Sleep and wanted to know if I was going to join them?! I was in the middle of making dinner, told my husband to continue stirring up the meal while I sign up for the retreat! No problems signing up, was done in about 5 minutes......Can't wait to be there again away from home for 4 days with two special ladies and the rest of the group......Thank you for organizing another "Open Sew Retreat" Margaret aka Margie
Rhonda is a wonderful teacher, and her classes are fun.
